🔒 On-Device Isolation: Threshold does not request the android.permission.INTERNET permission. It has no network access. It is technically impossible for the App to collect, transmit, or share your data.

This Privacy Policy describes how the Threshold application (the "App") handles user data. The App is developed by an individual developer and is committed to absolute privacy.

1. Personal Data Handling

Since Threshold does not communicate with any external servers, we do not collect, process, or sell any of your information. All configuration settings, focus statistics, and app limit histories are stored locally on your device in an isolated database.

2. Required Permissions and Purpose

Threshold requires several sensitive Android permissions to implement its digital wellbeing features. Each permission runs entirely on your local hardware:

Accessibility Service (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE): Used exclusively to detect when you are opening distracting feeds (like YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels) or locked apps, and to display a local block screen. It is also used to collapse the notification shade during strict focus sessions. The service operates locally and does not record, read, or store screen text, keystrokes, personal messages, or credentials.
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used to identify the active foreground application to calculate daily app limits and block unauthorized usage.
System Alert Window (Draw over other apps): Allows the App to display the overlay screen to block access to apps when limits are exceeded.
Notification Listener (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE): Used locally to count or temporarily block notifications during active focus sessions.
Biometric Access (USE_BIOMETRIC): Used to allow you to unlock restricted apps using your device's native face/fingerprint authentication.

3. Third-Party Services

The App contains no ads, third-party analytics trackers, or cloud sync tools. Your data remains strictly in your possession.
